Presentation Guidelines

for the CSZ Annual Meeting in Saskatoon

Contributed Oral Presentations

Oral presenters should prepare a 12-minute oral presentation. It will be followed by a three-minute Q&A period, which will be moderated by the session chair(s).

Your specific presentation time, ID and session room can be found on the CSZ Annual Meeting Program book, which will be posted on the Meeting website by May 7th, 2023.

You should use horizontal position (landscape) for all PowerPoint (PPT) slides. An aspect ratio of 16:9 would be optimal and compatible with the screen size.

If you want to use video clip(s) in your presentation, it should be embedded in your PPT file.

You should review your presentation on a different computer from which it was originally prepared, especially if you prepared it on a Mac, to ensure the backgrounds, transitions, video clips, graphics and linked images appear properly.

If you are presenting in the morning, you should arrive in the session room at 8 AM on the day of your presentation to upload your presentation file on the computer. Please bring your file on a standard USB-A drive (USB 2.0, 3.0). An on-site volunteer will assist you in uploading your presentation.

Please be in your session room at least 15 minutes before the beginning of your session and introduce yourself to the session chair(s).

Poster Presentations

Poster presenters should bring their printed poster to the poster exhibition hall for set up from 2 to 2:30 PM, May 17th. Presenters are expected to attend their poster for 1 hour during the poster session (6 to 8 PM, May 17th) to discuss their work with attendees visiting your poster.

The LOC cannot guarantee access to any on-site printing facilities, and we have not partnered with any local printing vendors in Saskatoon.

Poster orientation should be portrait, NOT landscape and size should be: (90 cm [35 in.] wide by 110 cm [43 in.] high).

Double-sided Velcro tapes will be provided in the exhibition hall, so you can hang your poster.

You will be assigned a poster number, which can be found on the CSZ Annual Meeting Program book. You must set up your poster on the poster board displaying the assigned poster number. Your number will determine your presentation time: 6 to 7 PM for even-numbered posters, 7 to 8 PM for odd numbered posters.

Presenters are responsible for the setup and take-down of the poster.

Poster set-up time: 2 to 2:30 PM

Poster take-down time: 8 to 8.30 PM

Posters that are not removed by the end of the day will be removed and destroyed.

You should be at your poster during the poster session to discuss your work with delegates visiting your poster.
