2024 American Oat Workers Conference

The University of Saskatchewan and the organizing committee of the 2024 American Oat Workers Conference invites you to join us July 21-24, 2024 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Oat production has long been associated with Saskatchewan and the grain elevator conference logo reflects this historical connection. While grain elevators such as these have largely disappeared, the importance of oats to the province has not. Saskatchewan supports almost half of the oat acreage and milling capacity in Canada and is home to an active oat research and breeding community.

The 2024 AOWC will kick-off with a welcome mixer evening at the historic Saskatoon Club in downtown Saskatoon, followed by the main meeting at the iconic Bessborough Hotel located on the banks of the Saskatchewan River. The meeting will present a diverse range of oat research, showcase oat varieties from around the globe and provide a chance to tour an oat milling facility.

So please take this opportunity to connect with new and old colleagues as we bring the oat community together to Saskatoon in 2024.

Please check back frequently as updates to the website are ongoing.
