The International Symposium on Toxicity Assessment (ISTA) conference series
The International Symposium on Toxicity Assessment (ISTA) conference series has been organized on a biennial basis since 1983 under the leadership of Barney Dutka and Dickson Liu from 1983-1997, Barney Dutka and Ian Falconer from 1997-2001, Ian Falconer and Christian Blaise from 2001-2009, Christian Blaise and Paule Vasseur from 2009-2013, Paule Vasseur and Doris Au from 2013-2015, Doris Au and Tracy Collier from 2015-2020, and Tracy Collier and Gisela Umbuzeiro from 2020 to the present.
Previous ISTA symposia have been held in 19 cities in 13 different countries:

ISTA 20 is returning to its origin in Canada in 2022.
ISTA serves as a catalyst for fruitful exchanges between researchers, managers and legislators involved in all fields of environmental science, safety, and health. ISTA provides a forum for discussions dealing with current advances in toxicity and risk assessment, fundamental and innovative concepts in ecotoxicology as well as research supporting environmental protection and conservation efforts.
